Canadian Society for Aesthetic (Cosmetic) Plastic Surgeons
On September 10, 2009 Dr. Rai attended a meeting of the Canadian Society for Aesthetic (Cosmetic) Plastic Surgeons at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Vancouver.

Facelift and breastlift procedures were discussed and Dr. Rai presented a paper on breastlift surgery and breast augmentation.

Dr. Rai also attended a seminar on the injectable Sculptra, an injectable that he has found gives excellent results.   It seems to be a longer lasting filler and works very well for facial rejuvenation.

American Association of Plastic Surgery
Dr. Rai attended the American Association of Plastic Surgery meeting in Boston, MA from April 2-6, 2008. An excellent learning program was offered at this meeting, including courses on facial rejuvenation, liposuction, abdominoplasty, breast augmentation and breast lift procedures. Newer techniques and updates were discussed and new ideas were noted, such as liposculpting procedures being considered for the face and body, as well as for the breast.

Where the face is concerned, all eyelid procedures and facelift procedures were reviewed with the newer techniques presented and discussed. Body contouring surgeries, such as liposuction, were also discussed, as well as newer techniques for breast surgery.

Overall, the meeting offered an excellent program with great learning opportunities.
